Bob Walls brought us his beautiful teardrop and said he wanted a Bigsby bridge and a seventh string added.
After changing the nut to suit the new string configuration, we came upon a problem. Where to put the tuning peg for the seventh string? And how to arrange it on the headstock to fit?
In the spirit of improvisation, he decided to use a banjo key and attach it to the back of the head stock, thus keeping all seven keys functional and out of the way. Here's how it ended up looking. Bob certainly looks pleased.
