Alvarez Artist Series AD30 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar - Natural Gloss
The ’30 is where you enter the Artist Series. This is a really well made piece delivering class-leading value. Our classic Dreadnought tone is enhanced with advanced scalloped bracing and other premium components such as bone saddles and nuts and a bi-level rosewood bridge.
FEATURES:
At Alvarez we approach the design and development of all of our instruments in the same way, no matter if the guitar is an all-solid Alvarez-Yairi or a more entry-level instrument from our Regent Series. Every single detail is considered, every chance we have to make our guitars play, sound or look better is taken. The compromises we have to make to produce less expensive instruments, are only made when we’re confident we’ve optimized the instrument in every single way we can for it’s price point, thus delivering true quality and value.
The result of this approach and commitment to our brand and its players is class-leading instruments that have been at the heart of acoustic music for over 45 years.
All Regent Series instruments are fitted with the Alvarez bi-level bridge to carry more vibration to the top, which improves tone and resonance, and the PPS saddle and nut help to improve response and sustain. This instrument has also been finished using an electrostatic painting process for a more even finish that uses less paint in its application. This allows the guitar to sing a little more and it also looks fantastic.
Every instrument, amp or product that we ship out is fully tested and carefully inspected for quality, tone and condition. A seasoned technician with over 20 years of experience gives the instruments a free setup for optimum playability and new strings are put on if needed.

I started playing when I was seven...my Mom's classical Alverez (GORGEOUS)...when she wasn't looking. Once she was convinced I wasn't going to stop playing...(lol), she bought me a Yamaha. I moved into 12-strings, banjos, mandolins and had an uncle into Ovation guitars...(not big on those). I bought in a pawn shop, a perfect Alverez much more sophisticated in appearance than this, but the sound was no better. The performance was no better. I don't think you can beat this guitar for a beginner or someone who simply likes to play. But those who love beauty...the wood on mine appears seamless and the mother of pearl around the soundhold stands out just enough. It's pretty. The best is that it is handcrafted with the care of Alvarez. I'll be 50 in Oct. 2011. I tried my first one 43 years ago. Mom still has that guitar and it sounds the way it did when it was young.
