This 1929 Martin 000-18 is a fantastic example of a vintage guitar, a really unique chance to work on a piece of history.
While very clearly well-loved, this piece came in with quite a lot of work to be done. The braces needed regluing, and as is usually the case with older instruments, we had to fix the poorly done previous repairs effected on the instrument.
We also replaced the bridge and fingerboard, reset the neck, refretted using modern frets, and touched up the guitar, leaving as much of the original lacquer as possible, in order to preserve this fantastic instrument's unique patina.
After a considerable amount of work, and a great deal of respect, this 81-year old beauty came out looking quite nice.
