About Danny D's Guitar Hacienda
 Danny D’s Guitar Hacienda is a family owned and operated business in operation since 1981. Don Threlkeld and his son Bruce started it in Seabrook Texas as Mr. T’s Pickin’ Parlour and was dedicated to acoustic instruments and Bluegrass & Gospel music. In 1984 Danny Douglass came to work as a repairman and in 1987 with new wife Lynn took over operations of the small shop changing the name to Danny D’s Guitars. A year later it was expanded to 4 times its size and by 1991 moved to Webster and was called Danny D’s Music Center a full line music store.
2004 brings us to the opening of the Guitar Hacienda. The name is inspired by the ancient stucco building and it’s Texas heritage in old downtown League City Texas. Danny D has rededicated the shop to everything about guitars, amps and repairs.
A Little Bit of Danny D's History
 The Guitar Hacienda was started from humble beginnings in the dark ages of the early 80's. Back then guitar picks and strings were crudely fashioned from entrails and burnt bits of metal left over from the age of retention. Danny would work late nights making mud pie guitars and eating tacos.
Those days are behind him now with the recent opening of Guitar Hacienda although he still loves a good taco.

Chris Ray
Our resident Sound Specialist & guitar set-up man, Chris has played bass with and ran sound for many bands around the Houston scene.
Currently playing in the Jump-Blues band the Taildraggers and also with Benny Brasket. Chris has high standards for low living.

Brent Dunbar
Brent relocated from the Chicago area in 2004. He has toured throughout the States with various Rock and Country acts. Brent currently plays with local bands on the weekends.

Al Ramos
Al is our guitar and bass setup expert. He does maintenance and custom work for many of Houstons top players. He has been working on guitars full time for over 20 years.

Cliff Smith
Assimilated by the Borg at an early age, Cliff has an uncanny knowledge of electronics and guitars. His Mind-meld techique with guitar players gives him understanding beyond comprehension.
Even his unatural attraction and Love/Hate relationship with his computer doesn't diminish his spectacular abilitys with an Ociliscope.

Lynn Douglass
Lynn is the shop mom. Part Earth Mother and part home renevator
& ranch hand, she gives us the womans touch and is allways the first
to decorate the shop for Christmas.
Giving up a basketball schollership to raise a family she now takes
care of Danny D and the other critters.

Danny D
Born the same year as the Fender Strat, Daniel Douglass has lived in Texas for 30 years. A self taught musician since his teens Danny went to work at a small guitar store in Seabrook in '84 and before long married Lynn and together they took over operations.
Today they are blessed with 2 Daughters,5 Grandkids, 2 dogs, 4 horses, 1 cat & various occasional critters.
